For all the pothos lovers, this ravishing beauty Pothos ‘Silver splash’ could be a tremendous addition to your plant collection. As the name suggests, it has beautifully divided natural splashes in silver-grey color on the dark green matte leaf base. Grow this vine in a hanging pot on your terrace wall or choose any corner, it will give the space a charismatic look. Being a part of the pathos family, they are definitely good air purifiers that eliminate various toxins by giving your pure air to breathe and feel fresh. He is eager to be in your hands!

Pet Safe: No

Skill Level: I am great for beginners

Light

He enjoys sitting in bright indirect sunlight all year-round. Direct scorching sunlight and heat will harm the leaves and too little light or no light will be the reason for no variegation in leaves making it look less beautiful.

Watering

Keep this baby’s soil moist by giving him water but you have to make sure that he doesn’t become oversaturated or wet. The best way is to water him whenever the top 50% of the soil becomes dry. The best part about him is that it can bear missing water occasionally without becoming dull and dry.

Temperature

He enjoys average to warm temperatures of 65 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. If you will provide him with a temperature below 65 degrees Fahrenheit even for a shorter duration, the leaves will eventually be damaged by the cold air so it is better to avoid cold drafts and sudden variations in temperature.

Humidity

Being a tropical native, he demands medium to high humidity to flourish well so try to maintain humidity levels around 40% for fast growth. The best way to keep the humidity levels maintained is to use a mist spray daily or use a pebble tray soaked in water or use a room humidifier.

Propagation

You can easily propagate him through stem cuttings. Keep the settings in a potting amalgamation of half sand and half moss. You have to keep the moist soil and don’t place them anywhere near direct sunlight. The new plants will be ready after two to three months.

Fertilization

As he is an easy to care houseplant, you don’t need to worry about feeding him with fertilizer a lot. Just make sure to give him fertilizer once a month with any general-purpose indoor plant fertilizer in diluted form for good results.

Fun Fact

He is also famous as devil's vine or devil's ivy because it is not easy to kill him just like James Bond (haha) as it stays green even when you keep it in a dark room. Woah!!

Should I repot my plant once it arrives?

When you receive your plant, it has been growing in it nursery pot for some time.  It is recommended that your repot your plant so that you have the opportunity to inspect the roots. This is a great opportunity to use a cache pot to match your home decor theme.  We offer a variety of cashe pots for sale.

When repotting it is suggested to repot in the same size as the nursery pot but if your roots are extensive and full you can "pot up" your plant to a size larger which usually means adding an inch to either side of the plant. Be careful while watering them so they don’t hold too much water or their dirt gets too wet.

We you use Noot Rescue Mix, as a recommended soil for indoor houseplants or use a standard potting mix but be more careful about watering instru

When is the time to "pot up" or transfer my plant into a larger pot?

The answer to this is when your water is draining out of the pot completely and never really gets your soil moistened.  It is then that there are likely more roots more soil. Repotting is usually done once in a year or so.

Make sure to never "pot up" more than an inch on each side and immediately after potting, lightly water your plant.

Why does my plant look different then the website?

Important The first lifestyle photo is for purposes of showing your plants potential size at maturity and is not a true representation of what you will receive.

Live plants will have variations in color, texture, finish, and size. While we make every effort to display our plants as accurately as possible, there may be subtle differences from what is displayed online.
