The Dracaena deremensis, also known as the Dracaena Lemon Surprise or Dracaena Lemon Lime is a striking tropical plant, recognizable by its long multi-tone leaves. This plant has earned its place as one of the most common and most loved house plants because of its status of being nearly indestructible, even for someone with a black thumb. When the Dracaena Lemon Surprise plant is unhappy, it will let you know first, rather than immediately dying; should you see some slight discoloration or browning of the leaf tips, its the plants way of telling you that you are overwatering. Allow the soil to dry completely before you water next and decrease the amount of water from then on.

Dracaenas rely heavily on every part of their leaf to photosynthesize, so dust it often to keep it looking and feeling healthy. Fun fact: Plants from the Dracaena genus are extremely efficient at purifying the air of harmful pollutants, according to the NASA Clean Air Study!

LIGHT: Medium to bright, indirect light, but never direct light or it can be burnt. SOIL: Well-draining, mixed with lava rock or coco coir.
