Returns + Exchanges

Here at The Plant Shanty we always try our best to source the best quality of House Plants. Our plants come healthy and fresh direct from our trusted nursery and have the expectation of the highest quality, alongside accessible information and guidance directly from us.

What sets The Plant Shanty apart is that we are always available to talk via chat, email or Facebook if you have questions or concerns about your plants or other items purchased. If you are looking for further care information check out our private group on Facebook, available for all our customers, where they write their experiences, struggles and bottlenecks if any while growing our plants. You are never alone in your plant journey.


If a plant you have purchased has health issues originating from before your purchase please contact us immediately and we will organize an exchange. We care that your indoor plant experience is positive! To help the process run smoothly please take as many photos as you can and contact us directly on email or our Facebook community-  but within 1-2 days of the order delivery.

Plants are living organisms and must be treated correctly to guarantee proper health; therefore, we only offer exchanges within 2 days of purchase. This is why we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can work towards a quick solution.

Be sure to include the following details:

- The Date of Order Arrival

- Photos of any issues

- A detailed description of the issue

We are happy to work with you to find a solution.

*We currently not cover orders that are lost in transit at this time. 


Returned orders may be subject to a 20% restocking fee on some items. No returned merchandise will be accepted without prior written authorization. Shortages and damage claims must be reported within 5 days of receipt of merchandise.


Orders may be canceled by phone. Canceled orders will be subject to a 20% restocking fee if the order has been picked and packed. 

Our return policy is subject to change without notice.
